Biz-matching conference fruitful

Fruitful results have been achieved at the First Hunan-Israel Economic and Trade Conference for Technological Innovation, according to the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, rednet.cn reports.

Representatives from nearly 100 Israeli enterprises attended the conference held in the cities of Changsha and Yiyang between June 5 and June 7.

A total of seven projects were signed in Changsha on June 6, including establishment of a joint venture between Israeli BSP Medical Ltd and China-Israel Biology and a water treatment project between Israeli Fluence Corporation and Aerospace Kaitian Environmental Technology.

On June 7, the nameplate of China-Israel (Yiyang) Science and Technological Industrial Park was unveiled in Yiyang.

The event, themed "High-tech leads the future," was jointly hosted by the provincial department of commerce, Xiangjiang New Area Management Committee, Yiyang Municipal People's Government and Changsha National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee. 

The event is aimed to boost bilateral exchanges and cooperation in science and technology, and trade, as well as to promote the development of such sectors as medical and health care, electronic information and clean technology in Hunan.

A series of activities, including themed meetings, special biz-matching sessions and roadshows, were staged during the three-day conference.
