Changsha to have more parks

Changsha will have around 600 parks by 2022, covering a total land area of about 20,000 hectares, according to the guiding opinions on the plan for construction of parks in the city formulated by Changsha Landscape Architecture Administration Bureau.

The document, which is now soliciting public opinion, says that there will be about 550 parks in urban areas by 2022.

Planned per capita green space created by parks will reach 10 square meters and per capita green space at park in urban areas will be no less than 5.5 square meters.

Over the next five years, the city will create 115 new parks, which cover a total area of 6,742 hectares. These parks will include a number of special parks and demonstration parks.
