The 452-meter-tall Changsha IFS, known as the tallest building of Hunan Province, officially opened its doors for business on May 7, 2018. Construction on the skyscraper, which covers a construction area of one million square meters, began in 2011. Around 70 international brands, such as Hermès, entered Hunan's market for the first time. The building, with a total investment of more than 20 billion yuan by Hong Kong-based Wharf (Holdings) Limited, is located in the core area of the Central Business District in Changsha's Furong District. The building complex, which integrates large shopping malls, Grade-A office space and five-star hotel, is expected to become a new landmark in the city.
