Q1 investment hits 169.39 bln yuan

Hunan Province attracted 169.39 billion yuan (US$26.47 billion) of actual investment in the first quarter of 2018, Hunan Daily reports.

Foreign direct investment (FDI) utilized by the province hit US$4 billion, up 14.7 from the same period of 2017, while actual domestic investment was 144.2 billion yuan (US$22.53 billion), up 16 percent year on year.

During the January-March period, the province introduced 24 projects invested by 23 Top 500 companies, with a total investment of 74.94 billion yuan (US$11.71 billion).

Of these projects, ten were invested by Fortune Global 500 companies, 11 by China Top 500 companies, and three by companies listed as China Top 500 Private Enterprises.

15 of them are industrial projects, with a total investment of 61.53 billion yuan (US$9.61 billion).

So far, a total of 194 Fortune Global 500 companies have made investment in the province.
