Hunan's industrial economy is expected to see a slight drop in March after getting off to a good start in the first two months of 2018, according to a working meeting recently held, voc.com.cn reports.

However, the province's industrial economy, in general, will maintain a sound growth momentum year-on-year in the first quarter of 2018.

Statistics show that the value added of its industrial enterprises above designated size grew by 8.1 percent year-on-year during the January-February period.

The figure is 0.8 percentage points higher than that of 2017 and 1.8 percentage points higher than the same period of 2017.

The value added of manufacturing increased by 8.3 percent.
