​Changsha tops disposable income list

Changsha, the capital city of Hunan Province, ranks No. 1 among the 14 cities and prefectures in the province with the highest disposable income per capita in 2017, according to statistics released on Feb. 6 by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) Hunan survey branch, voc.com.cn reports.

Statistics show that all cities and prefectures reported a remarkable growth in disposable income per capita.

Changsha's disposable income per capita exceeded 40,000 yuan (US$6,250) for the first time in 2017. The income reached 41,131 yuan (US$6,424), a year-on-year increase of 8.8 percent.

Changsha is followed by Zhuzhou at 31,234 yuan (US$4,880) and Xiangtan at 27,471 yuan (US$4,292).

The disposable income per capita of Hengyang, Yueyang, Chenzhou, Changde and Yiyang was 23,852 yuan (US$3,727), 22,761 yuan(US$3,556), 21,527 yuan(US$3,364), 20,548 yuan(US$3,211) and 20,035 yuan(US$3,130), respectively.

Huaihua, Zhangjiajie and Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture came in at the bottom of the list, but with a fast growth rate of more than ten percent.
