Budapest-Changsha returning freight train service launched

The returning freight train service between Budapest, capital of Hungary, and Changsha, capital city of central China's Hunan Province, was launched on Nov. 27, 2017. [Photo from Hunan Daily]


The returning freight train service between Budapest, capital of Hungary, and Changsha, capital city of central China's Hunan Province, was launched on November 27 at the Budapest Multimodal Transport Logistics Center. 

The eastbound cargo train carries a total of 41 containers loaded with commodities including wine, beer, oatmeal, milk powder and hardware accessories. 

The Changsha-Budapest freight train service was launched in late May. 

Trade volume between China and Hungary reached US$8.89 billion in 2016, up 10.1 percent from 2015. 

In 2017, bilateral trade keeps growth momentum, hitting US$4.85 billion in the first half of the year, up 17.3 percent year-on-year.
