Hunan to have more state-level water conservancy scenic spots

Three water conservancy scenic spots in Hunan Province, namely, the Changsha Yang Lake Wetland, the Peace Lake in Zhijiang Dong Autonomous County and the Qiyang Wu Stream,  were included in the 17th batch of State-level Water Conservancy Scenic Spots, according to the list recently released by the Ministry of Water Resources.

 

With a total area of 4.85 square kilometers, the Yang Lake Wetland Park incorporating 1500 kinds of plants, 150 species of birds and abundant subtropical animals and insects is an ideal place for wetland ecology appreciation, scientific education and tourism. Occupying a total area of 51.59 square kilometers, the Qiyang Wu Stream Water Conservancy Scenic Spot boasts natural sceneries of Xiang River, Qi River, Wu Stream Wetland and places of historical figures and cultural heritage like the Wu Stream Stele Forest and former residence of Tao Zhu.
