A large original symphonic chorus titled "Lugou Bridge, Qili Bridge" made its debut in Hunan Theatre on September 6. Audiences were brought into the unforgettable solemn memories by the symphonic suite Sun Rises from Dongshan, symphonic film Xiangjiang River and chorus Flowers Flying in the Happy Rain.

China's eight-year War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression began at Lugou Bridge in Beijing on July 7, 1937,  and ended at Qili Bridge in Zhijiang, Hunan, where Japanese invaders surrendered on August 21, 1945.

The concert was held to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

The music pieces were composed by Meng Yong, a famous Chinese composer.

Zhang Wenxiong, member of the CPC Hunan Provincial Standing Committee and minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, attended the concert.
