A total of 10 paintings created by teenagers from Hunan Province were awarded in a nationwide teenager paintings solicitation activity, the organizing committee of China Pavilion at the 2015 Milan World Expo recently announced in Beijing.

Some of the paintings will be collected by the organizing committee and may be chosen as presents for distinguished guests visiting the expo.

Hunan joined the collection activity by selecting 103 paintings from over 300.

The expo will run in Milan, Italy, between May 1, 2015 and Oct 31, 2015.

China Pavilion is the second largest self-constructed pavilion with 4,590 square meters of floor space.

Hunan, as one of the eight provinces in China taking part in the expo, will hold a sideline activity with the theme of "the hometown of fish and rice around Dongting Lake" to celebrate Hunan Week from June 19 to June 23.
