Located in Tianxin District of Changsha City, Changsha Bamboo Slips Museum houses more than 140,000 bamboo slips and wooden tablets dating back to the Three Kingdoms period (220-280), and some 20,000 dating back to the Western Han Dynasty (206 BCE-24 CE).

The slips and tablets record in detail the political, economic, military, cultural and geographic information of the ancient Changsha prefecture during the Wu Kingdom (222-280).
