A large number of pottery products have been unearthed at the 13 remaining kilns. They are usually exquisitely shaped and decorated with patterns depicting human figures, animals, flowers, plants and natural landscape.

The kilns are renowned for inventing the underglaze painting technology in world pottery production.

The pieces excavated are found to be the first to incorporate traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy.

In the Tang Dynasty, the products found their way to more than 29 countries and regions.
